SkullNook Labs {Explained}
Lore
SkullNook Labs Ltd. started in April 2025 with a mission to provide a unique consumer experience that benefits them, their wallet, and their environment. In a world where “garbage lasagna” is a more common sighting each day - I built an environment where we can take recycling to the next level and learn all about making filament from plastic through sustainable engineering and additive manufacturing techniques.
Colorado is filled with amazing people, delicious food, and scenic backgrounds when driving to work. One thing that surprised me, however, was learning that we have one of the lowest recycling rates here in the nation. Compared to the national average of 32% waste recycled per state, Colorado recorded just 15.5% in 2024, which ranks us 41st out of 50 states!
So choosing SkullNook Labs for your supplies & prints means that you also help reduce plastic waste here in Colorado. One of my goals is to help us reach & eclipse the state average of 32% annual recycled waste!
I moved to Colorado in 2018 from Minnesota to find better weather and expand my horizons socially, intellectually, and spiritually. I graduated with a B.S.B.A. degree online and have accrued 20 years of workplace trauma at 34 years young. I am also an avid hiker, thrifter, and pickleballer!
The name ‘SkullNook’ is inspired from my grandfathers’ professional careers; a Mortician (skull) and an English professor (reading nook). Rest in peace Hugh & Ed.
